Joe Collins was born and reared in Franklin, and he has been practicing law in Macon County since 1988. Currently, his practice consists primarily of real estate closings and estates in general. He handles child support matters for the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians, and he is a licensed mediator, certified in both Superior Court & District Court family financial matters.
Active in the community, Mr. Collins is currently a member of the Franklin Town Council. He served as Mayor of Franklin from 2003 to 2013, for a total of ten years.
Mr. Collins was married to his wife, Pamela, in 1986. They have three children: Ward (who practices with the firm), Hobe, and Sara.
